ICAR has sponsored one Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) at Gunta, Bansur, Alwar district of Rajasthan under the administrative control of DRMR with the mandate of imparting vocational training to the practicing farmers including, farm women, youth and extension functionaries in improved technologies in the field of agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, and other allied enterprises. It has additional responsibilities of testing and refining the developed technologies and also to conduct front line demonstrations of new technologies in the farmer’s field.

The KVK of DRMR is situated adjacent to Bansur at Gunta, which is about 60 Kms away from the District head quarter Alwar and about 180 km from Host Institute (DRMR

• On-farm testing to identify the location specificity of agricultural technologies under various farming systems.
• Organize Frontline Demonstrations to establish production potential of technologies on the farmers. fields.
• Training of farmers. to update their knowledge and skill in modern agricultural technologies.
• Training of extension personnel to orient them in the frontier areas of technology development.
• To work as resource and knowledge centre of agricultural technology for supporting initiatives of public, private and voluntary sector for improving the agriculture economy of the district.
