20th FOUNDATION DAY 2013

The Scientific community and the staff of DRMR celebrated its 20th Foundation Day. Director, DRMR, Dr. Dhiraj Singh, made a firm commitment on behalf of the directorate for research and strong linkages with the farmers & other stakeholders for their overall prosperity while welcoming the guests on 20th Foundation Day of the directorate on October 20, 2013. Dr. J. S. Sandhu, Agriculture Commissioner, Govt. of India graced the occasion as the chief guest. Dr. B.B. Singh, ADG (OP), Dr. N .Gopala Krishnan, ADG (CC), ICAR, New Delhi and other honored dignitaries also graced the function. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, the chief guest appreciated the research work done by the Institute. Scientific and research works are the backbone of the planners and developers and DRMR scientists are befittingly executing their research work, which is evident with the fact that the directorate has developed 6 varieties and registered valuable genetic resource and other technologies in its existence of 20 years. On this occasion four publications were released and institutional awards for motivation of scientist and staff members were also distributed.
